Difficulty in locating the SCANS folders (like Sansio and attaching scans) appears to be caused by WINDOWS not wanting to display “Public Desktop” Items (like the SCANS folders when browsing for attachments. I tested multiple PC’s and Apps (Excel, Outlook, Sansio) and had the same issues with Public vs. User Desktop Items, and this fix worked for all..
If you don’t see the Scans folder when you browse from an app (ie: Sansio), you need a “User” copy on the desktop
- On the desktop, Right Click and COPY the SCANS shortcut (this is a Public Desktop Item)
- On the desktop, in a blank area, Right Click and PASTE (creates a User Desktop copy)
- Visually, you will have 2 identical shortcuts, BOTH DO THE SAME THING, but 1 is “Public”, and 1 is “User” desktop related.
- Apps will see the “User” version
- Using Sansio MobileTouch, ePCR Attachment>Add Attachment, the clips below show the files locations before, and after doing this copy/paste
-
- Before
- After
- Before
- You will only have to do this ONCE, on EACH PC you touch.. for example in Niagara Active, once on CREW-A, once on CREW-B, after that, the shortcut “lives” on your User Desktop, so when you sign in, its there.
